Whispers around the club last night suggest that West Ham are making a move to bring David Moyes in as the man to replace ‘dead man walking’ Sam Allardyce.
The West Ham board will make a decision this week on whether Allardyce stays or goes, with a meeting scheduled for Friday 23rd. With the board now pushing ahead to bring in Moyes, the call to sack Sam could be sooner than Friday.
The odds on Moyes to become the next West Ham manager were slashed from 14/1 to 6/1 last night.
Another name in the frame is Rafa Benitez. The Napoli boss is keen on returning to the Premier League and may be tempted to return to London where he managed Chelsea and lead them to the Europa League title in 2013.
