West Ham have completed the signing of Argentinian striker Mauro Zarate on a three year contract, with the option of an extension at the end of the coming season.
The former Birmingham City striker passed a medical this morning, and has been handed the number 10 shirt by the club.
According to reports the player had been very eager to join the club, and even paid off the remainder of his contract with Valez Sarsfield.
“It’s a new chance for me,” he said.
“West Ham called me. They are a fierce team and now I think I want to play (there).”
