West Ham have today got the ball well and truly rolling for the rebranding of the clubs crest, as had been widely expected in recent weeks.

The consultation will consist of looking at altering the iconic badge, with the focus being on the ‘hammers’ and whether or not the Boleyn Castle will remain. A name change however is something that is not being considered.

The owners are looking for the brand of the club to work alongside the upcoming move to the Olympic Stadium, and to appeal to a world wide market, particularly investors.

Open discussion sessions with supporters to share their views will be held towards the end of June, and the club will not be making any decision on branding without supporter backing.
