It is now widely believed that West Ham are to make a bid of around £7m for Swansea City striker Michu within the coming days.
The 28 year old Spaniard, who has scored 20 goals in 52 appearances for the Welsh club since his arrival in 2012, is keen to head to the capital, with West Ham is his most likely destination. The club are to act following the advise of new attacking coach Teddy Sheringham.
Swansea look set to sign other striking target Bafétimbi Gomis this week, and it is expected that once this deal is complete they will listen to offers for Michu.
Swansea’s other stand out performer Wilfried Bony is also likely to follow Michu out of the Liberty Stadium this summer, however the player is seeking European football next season, making it highly unlikely West Ham will make a move.
