According to reports this morning West Ham have pulled off a major transfer coup by signing Charlton teenager Diego Poyet, son of Gus.
The 19 year old is a product of the Charlton youth academy, and was last season voted player of the year for the Addicks, having only making his senior debut in January.
There have been many clubs keen to sign the highly rated midfielder this summer, with Monaco looking his likely destination. However West Ham look to have won the race for his signature, with reports the player agreeing a 4-year contract.
This follows yesterday’s exciting signing of Aaron Cresswell from Ipswich Town, with the left back signing a 5-year deal. Things are so far shaping up for an excellent season ahead!
