West Ham captain Kevin Nolan has stated that he believes West Ham have a great season ahead with the additions made by the club, and as long as Andy Carroll stays fit.
Nolan, speaking to the press in New Zealand on the clubs pre-season tour, said “I’m really confident that, this year, if we can keep Andy fit and with the signings we’ve made, is going to be a very good one for us.”
There have once again been rumours circulating that Andy Carroll’s former club Newcastle are set to make a bid for the striker, however the man himself says he is fully focused on West Ham and reaching full fitness before the curtain raiser against Spurs in just over 3 weeks time.
“It’s a very important pre-season for me after I had a very bad season last year with injuries,” said Carroll.
“It’s important I stay fit and do everything right with the medical staff.”
