West Ham winger Stewart Downing has told the clubs official website that the team are disappointed not to have won the thrilling 2-2 draw with Hull City last night.
In what was a highly fought contest from both sides, West Ham twice had to come from behind to take the well earned point back to East London.
“We’re a little disappointed we didn’t come away with the three points in the end, but going behind twice, I think you’ve got to accept the point,” said Downing.
“We conceded two sloppy goals and that’s been a little bit of a downfall for us recently, so we need to sharpen up on that, but overall the football we played was really good. At times we passed them off the park.”
Downing also praised Enner Valencia for his wonder goal, and told how the striker does that often in training.
“It was an unbelievable strike from Enner for our first goal. We’ve seen him do that in training and we keep telling him to keep shooting. That’s a big goal for him, to get his first out of the way.”
