‘We must do better’

Winston Reid has spoken of how he believes the team must perform better defensively, and will look to keep the first clean sheet of the season against QPR this Sunday at Upton Park.

The Irons have performed well attacking so far this season, playing a brand of football that has many fans confident of a mid table finish. However defensively things have not quite gone to plan so far, with 10 goals conceded in the opening six games.

Reid is confident that the team will get it right, starting with Harry Redknapps men this weekend. “I think we will be looking to be doing two things this Sunday. One, we want to win the game and score a few goals and two, from a defensive point of view we want to keep a clean sheet because that’s something we haven’t done so far this season,’‘ Reid told whufc.com

“I think if we can get those two things right then we’ll be all right.”
