Alex Song believes West Ham have will be one of the top 5 clubs in the Premier League within the next five years, and emulate what Athetico Madrid have done in recent seasons in La Liga.
The Irons have made an outstanding start to the season having raked in 16 points from the opening 9 matches, and currently sit in 4th spot in the league.
Midfielder Song, who is currently on a season long loan deal from Barcelona, believes the future is very bright for the cockney boys.
”The future of the club is very good. That’s why I chose to come here. In Spain nobody was expecting anything from Atletico Madrid and look at how well they are doing,” said the former Arsenal midfielder.
“You have to look at examples like that. The way that West Ham are looking now, in the next five years they will be one of the best clubs in England.”
Song has also given a slight indication that he may be sticking around for the long term, stating that his move to West Ham was ‘a very good choice.’
“When I see the way that we play and where we are at the moment I know that I made a very good choice.”
