Carroll ready to prove worth

Andy Carroll is set to continue his return from injury when West Ham travel to Goodison Park to face Everton this Saturday.

The clubs record signing featured in the goalless draw with Aston Villa over week ago, and has since played in a behind-closed-doors fixture against Fulham – a game in which he scored.

Carroll has been plagued by injury since signing for the club for £15m from Liverpool back in June 2013, but he is now ready to put the injury curse behind him and prove his worth.

According to sources, Carroll is in the best shape he has been in since arriving at the club on loan in 2012, and the club are quietly confident that he will fulfil his aim of at least 10 goals this season.
