It’s the news West Ham fans will be delighted to wake up to this morning – Alex Song has said that he is loving life at Upton Park, and wants to make the deal permanent.
Song has simply been a revelation this season, with his commanding yet stylish performances helping the Irons achieve our greatest start in a Premier League season.
The club have already made it clear they will be making an offer to keep Song for the long term, with a bid expected to be made next month, and now the player himself has made his intentions clear – he wants to stay put in East London.
“I want to stay here,” Song told a French newspaper. “There were offers on the table from clubs in Italy, France and Turkey. People ask me why I joined West Ham, but I don’t regret it.”
