The deal to bring Lassana Diarra to Upton Park until the end of the season has collapsed due to FIFA denying the player permission to play in England, according to the player himself.
Diarra has posted on his Twitter page this evening, stating that the football governing body FIFA have blocked the former Arsenal and Real Madrid midfielders move to West Ham.
”Thanks to the FIFA again you did a great job you dont let me play in France, Germany, Italy and England so maybe in jamaica you will..”
The club had been confident of tying up the deal this week, with the player expected to be fit and ready to play within 2 weeks. No doubt a frustrating development for Sam Allardyce, who was clearly excited at the prospect of having Diarra at his disposal.
