Beaten, but oh so proud

West Ham 0-1 Chelsea

How we did not walk off that pitch with at least a point I will never know. It’s something that will puzzle me for many days.

West Ham were the better team. End of. We were outstanding in fact, and Chelsea will be wondering how on earth they walked off the pitch with all three points.

We started brightly and looked like a side gunning for a positive result following a very disappointing weekend display against Crystal Palace.

However we fell behind to a dubious Eden Hazard goal, that on another day (or had it been at the other end maybe) would have been rightly ruled out for offside.

The second half saw a very dominant West Ham display but sadly it did not produce the all important goal. With Sakho guilty of missing a hatful of chances.

A great shame to lose, but a a pleasing manner to do so.

A proud West Ham fan here.
