Was that the nail?

It is hard to not to acknowledge that our current form is pretty shocking. In fact since Christmas it has been woeful.

Saturday’s defeat to bottom of the table Leicester was simply not acceptable. We once again failed to display any real quality, and made a struggling team look a lot better than they are.

Yes they are a team fighting for their lives, but when Adrian saved the penalty, and we went on to pull things level at 1-1, we should have thrown the kitchen sink at them and taken the points.

But again, we didn’t. This is the type of underwhelming desire from our team that has had fans calling for Allardyces head this season, and will no doubt have our owners wondering if Sam really is up to the task of taking us to the next level.

I am extremely reluctant to be drawn into a situation where we slate the manager, but I must say, if three points are not delivered against Stoke City at Upton Park this Saturday, Sam is in serious danger of losing of the apparent little backing at the club he has left.
