At last nights player awards Aaron Cresswell was deservedly crowned the Player of the Year – along with the Signing of the Season & The Players’ Player of the Year.
Cresswell has been a revelation for the club this season, having signed over the summer from Ipswich Town – Cresswell has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water.
His performances have not gone unnoticed either, with rumours that Jose Mourinho is a keen admirer, and many people in football tipping Cresswell for an England call soon.
All in all it was a positive night – however there was one topic of discussion at the end .. Just why was our manager so absent from the proceedings?
You would have been forgiven for thinking Sam wasn’t even in the building, as he had no bearing on any of the presentations, interviews or award giving.
The fallout with the board is becoming clearer by the day, and many feel, like myself, that this could well be his last awards show as West Ham manager.
