Hammers push for Jenkinson deal

Despite the comments of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger that Carl Jenkinson is not for sale, West Ham are set to make a big money offer to the Gunners to secure the England right back on a long term deal.

The club see Jenkinson, who has impressed on his season long loan in East London, as a key player to lead us to the Olympic Stadium in 2016 – and Wengers comments have no dented the boards confidence that a deal can be reached.

Wenger, who many expected to allow Jenkinson to move on this summer said: The decision is now whether to bring him back now or give him one more year on loan.”

West Ham will launch a bid this summer, with a fee of £8m being rumoured to be the opening offer.
