Allardyce on his way

Sam Allardyce is set to leave the club this summer following his decision to reject talks to discuss a new contract with the owners at the end of the season, according to The Telegraph.

Allardyce, who many have felt would be shown the door this summer, has himself decided it’s time to move on, and is considering working abroad.

West Ham have been linked to Rafa Benitez, Jurgen Klopp, Slaven Bilic and David Moyes all season – and with the Olympic Stadium move looming, many are hoping a big name manager can be lured to East London this summer.

Allardyces decision to leave will no doubt come as a surprise to most fans, as many felt he would certainly stay if offered a new deal – which according to reports, was on the cards.

If / when Allardyce does go, he should be shown gratitude for what he has achieved here. He has delivered on what was asked, but there’s no doubt that a change is needed to push on.
