Emery is one on a list of four candidates who are shortlisted by the owners to take over from the departed Sam Allardyce, and with Emery having just secured back-to-back Europa League titles with Sevilla it’s hardly surprising to see why he’s made the short list.
Napoli have also offered Emery a lucrative deal to replace Rafa Benitez, however according to the Daily Telegraph Emery is keen to speak to West Ham before a decision is made.
Others on the Irons shortlist are Slaven Bilic, who is still bookies favourite to land the role, Frank De Bour and Marcelo Bielsa.
Bielsa is rumoured to have already held a meeting with West Ham last week, and Bilic is still set to be approached by the owners before a decision is made over the next few days.
It appears however that Emery is the owners now top choice to take over, following his outstanding success with Sevilla. Emery has lead the Spanish outfit to fifth place in both his seasons in charge, and has won the Europa League on both occasions too.
The club are expected to make an announcement on the new manager within the next 4-5 days.
