The rumour mill is certainly in full swing now the transfer window is open. One story floating the past few days is that former Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye is on the Irons radar, and a deal is suddenly now looking very real.
The PSG creative midfielder has expressed his desire to return to the Premier League following a frustrating spell in France, and West Ham along with Crystal Palace have made moves to sign him on a long term deal.
It appears today that the player would favour a move to East London to work under Slaven Bilic, and West Ham are confident a deal can be reached within the coming days.
The fee required is not yet known exactly, however it’s expected to be in the region of £8-10m.
