Cabaye latest

The possibility of West Ham signing Yohan Cabaye from PSG is looking a lot less likely today following the French clubs acceptance of a huge £12.8m big for the playmaker from Crystal Palace.

It has been made very clear that the player himself would prefer a move to East London, and by all accounts if still holding out for a late move from the Hammers.

However with the asking price close to £13m, Gold & Sullivan are unlikely to match Palaces offer, with the player at 29 years of age.

There is talk that the deal is not dead, with many claiming that the club could yet go ahead with a large bid, especially as bids for Stuart Downing are on the table from Middlesborough and Sunderland.

As of now however it looks as though this is one the club will let go, and focus on other targets.
