Carroll injury setback

Andy Carroll has suffered a fresh injury setback and is now going to be unavailable until October at the very earliest, according to reports this morning.

This is prompting the club to push forward with a move for Charlie Austin, and leaves Carrolls long term Irons future hanging by a thread.

The club are looking more likely to offload Carroll once he regains fitness, with many expecting a sale in January to happen.

The clubs record signing has been plagued by injuries since signing from Liverpool in 2013 for £15m, and with his £60k a week wages putting him as the top earner at Upton Park, the owners are now likely to cut their losses and put Carroll in the shop window this January.

A move for Charlie is expected this week.
