Why Sunderland result was a great one

Ok we didn’t take all three points against a side who, before kick off, were bottom of the league – and let’s be honest, in turmoil. But to come back from 2-0 down, away from home in this league cannot be disregarded. This was a good result.

Our fault this weekend was that we took the home team for granted, and our opening half showed that. But to get to grip of the game having been 2-0 down to be the ones most likely to win at the end is a huge positive.

We are still sitting high in the league with only 2 defeats from our opening 8 games – this has been a great start and one that has been done without a full strength side.

When the likes of Enner Valencia and Alex Song are available for selection its makes us fans wonder where this side really can go this season.

We know how things can change so quickly, so I’ll refrain from getting too carried away.. But I’m confident that this is going to be a positive season for our club.
