Beyond poor

How else can you describe our performance against Spurs? In what should have been a game we showed we can cope without Dimitri Payet.

We were second best in all areas, right from the off. But I question some players in this write up – one being our player of the season in the last campaign.

Aaron Cresswell was particularly appalling. So much so, I wonder if he is worthy of a starting spot considering how many errors he makes during a game.

It may be harsh on the man, but I’m so fed up with the schoolboy mistakes he continues to make, and at this level its unforgivable – you’ll be punished.

The next is Mark Noble. A total horror show once again, from our captain. Don’t get me wrong I love Mark, but his performances are reflecting those of Kevin Nolan towards the end of his Irons career. It was shocking.

He simply cannot keep up with players, and therefore fouls unintentionally, making him look a dirty player – which we all know he isn’t.

The last for me is James Tomkins. A total rotten performance from a player who is not consistent. His play for their third was something that can only be described as a joke.

Like you all I’m gutted, and to be honest shell shocked by how bad we were.

Only positive was Lanzini, who looks more like David Silva every time I see him play. Quality.

It’s a wake up for our club, and manager. This was a woeful display that made Spurs look outstanding.

Credit where it’s due they were good – but my word we were so so poor.

Time to dust ourselves off and get ready to put things right against West Brom – a game we need to win to show this was simply a one off, a bad day at the office.

Now to waking up tomorrow hoping that this was all just a bad dream.
