Champions League no longer a pipe dream

So there we have it. Our chums in Tottenham could have reached the Premier League summit with 10 games remaining, however they came up against a West Ham side that looks the strongest it’s been in decades.

Not on our watch I’m afraid. An excellent performance once again, and one fully deserving of a victory over Spurs on their last ever visit to Boleyn Ground.

Michail Antonio put in another inspired performance, grabbing the only goal of the game from a Dimitri Payet assist.

The whole team had to be at their very best to dent Spurs’ title charge, and they all very much were. Outstanding.

The result leaves our mighty Irons 1 point from the stuttering Manchester City, who currently sit in 4th spot. The reality is that West Ham are now in the race for top 4, a crack at the European elite.

Some will no doubt dismiss this, and say we are getting way ahead of ourselves. But are we? I don’t think we are.

Like last night showed again, we are more than capable of mixing it with the top sides. We have claimed some incredible results this season and there is no reason why there cannot be more to add to the list.

Including our march onwards to the FA Cup.

Our victory over rivals Spurs last night is one we shall all be very much enjoying today, and no doubt have our fans looking at the remaining fixtures thinking ‘I wonder…’
